Traveling often involves both long and short walks at your destination, and carrying your gear comfortably at all times can be a challenge. That’s why we designed the Boris M. This backpack has maximum storage space, a lightweight removable shoulder strap system, ánd the option to upgrade to a more comfortable harness if you need to walk longer distances.
The Boris M combines the best features of our signature Boris IV backpack with a basic removable carrying system and adds extra packing space. It’s spacious enough to fit your 800mm lens (without the body mounted). For longer walks, you can opt for an additional carrying harness with padded shoulder straps and a comfortable waist belt.
With two removable handles, the Boris M can be easily carried by hand, making it perfect for air travel. Inside, you can customize the layout using Velcro straps, dividers, and removable pouches, giving you complete flexibility to organize your camera gear.
The backpack features two large compartments and opens at the back for easy access, ensuring that the front and inside stay clean and dry.

Best camera backpack ever!
Great backpack with one small flaw
I’ve been very satisfied with the Mr Jan Boris M – it’s a well-designed, comfortable, and high-quality backpack that fits my needs perfectly. The materials and craftsmanship are excellent, and it’s clear a lot of thought went into the design.
However, I did run into one issue: the G-hooks used for the loadlifters were too smooth, causing them to slip under tension. This made it difficult to maintain the desired fit and load distribution over time. I ended up replacing them with G-hooks from Savotta, which have more grip and solved the problem entirely.
Overall, a great pack with a small but easily fixable issue. Highly recommended!
