The all-in heavyweight Wetland Hide is designed for photographers working in wetlands, bogs, forests, snow-covered landscapes and other demanding environments. Originally developed for photographing grouse during the lekking season, it was created to keep photographers dry and comfortable in both frozen and waterlogged terrain.
Based on extensive year-round field testing, the Mursu Wetland Hide evolved into a highly modular hide suitable for wetlands, beaches, forests, tundra and snowy environments. It offers 360° visibility, multiple camera positions, excellent weather protection and enough space for overnight stays with camera and camping gear.
Delivered in a practical Ponting Bag, the set includes:
The hide features a heavy-duty PVC groundsheet with 10–14 cm high waterproof walls, keeping both equipment and feet dry, even in standing water. The groundsheet can be detached, allowing the tent to be used with or without a floor depending on the season and terrain.
Multiple camera ports on the front and rear allow the use of two to three cameras simultaneously. Magnetic window covers provide quick access and can also be used as storage pockets for batteries and accessories.
The military-grade polyester-cotton fabric is highly water-repellent, breathable and quiet in use, offering greater comfort than conventional nylon hides. For photographers seeking a lighter setup, a lightweight camouflage nylon outer tent is also available.
The spacious interior accommodates a photographer, camera equipment, sleeping gear and cooking equipment for multi-day field sessions. Strong 11 mm T6 alloy poles, reinforced stabilisation points and storm flaps with integrated ballast pockets provide stability in strong winds, snow, sand and other challenging conditions.

The lightweight nylon and heavyweight polyester-cotton outer tents are interchangeable.
An optional rain cover is available in Alpine White and Khaki. It improves protection on the most exposed roof sections while maintaining access to most camera positions.
The Wetland Hide is particularly suited for photographing elusive wildlife, including owls, capercaillies, black grouse, cranes and waders, in locations where comfort, stability and weather protection are essential.
